"I would like to express my gratitude for this opportunity that I have been blessed with to further my studies. I am the only child in my family to pass Grade 12. My parents were excited and wanted me to continue studying at varsity, but they could not afford the expensive fees.

"I remember when I was writing my final exams in Grade 12 my mother said to me: 'My daughter, I want you to pass them all well so that someone can see your good marks and offer you funds to go to college. You are a good girl.'

"It’s as if she knew that one day I would be awarded a scholarship to further my education. And so I had hope, and I worked hard, and now those words in history have become my future.

"These days it is not easy to get a good job without a qualification. It has always been my dream to wake up every day and go to college to learn so that I can become something more. All in all I feel very blessed and thankful to the BEF and my heart swells with love for you all. You will all be blessed in abundance!"

"I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for all of you who give willingly to this great Fund. You have helped me to further my education when no one else was able to. I know you don't know me personally, but still you have the courage and faith to help someone you are not acquainted with. I am forever grateful for this.

"I was able to complete my Information Technology studies and begin my correspondence bridging course with Pathway-Connect through BYU- Idaho. This course was only made available to us last year in East London, South Africa and I was blessed to be able to register to study it. I would not have made it this far if I hadn’t first studied Information Technology, since the BYU course is online and we deal a lot with computer basics. I have heard many of my classmates complain about their challenge with the bridging course because they didn’t first have a background in computers, but for me this was a blessing because I was able to first study I.T through BEF and gain computer knowledge. It changed my studies into a positive experience for me. I am also able to assist my husband, family members and study colleagues with the knowledge I have of computers, which brings me joy to pay it forward as well.

"Since almost everything in today’s world revolves around computers and technology, these are skills that are much needed for our day and will bless me in my future career. I am planning to continue studying through correspondence at BYU-Idaho to gain a Degree. Thank you again for your assistance which has changed my life."
