Education has the power to change lives and societies forever.

THAT'S WHY the Brockbank Education Fund provides scholarships to women in townships in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, where only 7% of high school graduates are able to find jobs.

The Fund has supported over 90 students who have pursued a variety of degrees, ranging from accounting, to medicine, to hotel management, to education, to cooking, to beauty school. These degrees will change the lives of these young women by giving them a future in the local job market and making the impossible possible.

The Brockbank Education Fund was founded in 1999 by Kay Brockbank Webber, who volunteered in South Africa and became aware of the many needs of the community. She soon realized that the greatest hope for the future of the area lay in the education of its people, and especially its young women.

To accomplish this, the Brockbank Education Fund provides scholarships for women in South Africa, giving them and incredible opportunity to pursue higher education and develop the skill necessary to support themselves and their families through the local job market and beyond.
